Brief
Create branding, packaging, web mockups, and miscellaneous materials for Boundless Cosmetics, a makeup company that creates affordable, educational makeup designed by trans people, for trans people. This project was created as my Senior Capstone Project and and fuses together aspects of several of my creative passions throughout my life. Deliverables for this project including the Boundless Cosmetics branding kit, packaging designs, promotional materials, and posters to be displayed at the Capstone event table.

THE SYSTEM
The Boundless Cosmetics brand speaks to the authentic self-expression that the company inspires in consumers. High contrast, modular, bold elements echo the Boundless mission of inspiring confidence and strength. However, minimal use of color and clean, refined typography balances these elements and further shines a spotlight on the products themselves and their function.
Behind the Brand
The Boundless logo was inspired by the ways in which LGBTQ people have communicated community and safety to one another throughout history, as well as the ways in which we as humans communicate in non-linguistic ways. In this, inspiration was drawn from a variety of symbols related to gender, symbols used in rights movements, and encoding systems/languages (namely Braille and Morse code). Ultimately, the final logo echoes visual ideas of a gender spectrum and the symbols used for “BC” in encoding languages.
